Stage and film actress Natasha Richardson, the wife of Hollywood star Liam Neeson, is in a critical condition following an accident at a Canadian ski resort.
According to reports the 45-year-old suffered a serious head injury at Quebec's luxury Mont Tremblant resort.
Her husband is said to have halted filming in Toronto to fly to Richardson's bedside in her Montreal hospital.
Representatives of either star are yet to comment.
Richardson, the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and the late film director Tony Richardson, has been married to Neeson for 14 years. They have two sons.
As well as a string of theatre productions the actress has starred in The Parent Trap, The Handmaid's Tale and Maid in Manhattan.
