Playboys have an extra reason to turn on the Xbox or Playstation, after a new survey revealed that men who play videogames are more likely to be faithful to their other half.

A study of 1,500 men by PS3PriceCompare.co.uk has shown that blokes who own a console are more likely to play a mission on Call of Duty than play away from their partner.

The poll of men aged between 16 and 30 found that only one in five fellas who owned a games console have cheated on their partner, compared with more than half of those who did not possess an Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or Wii.

Mike Elsmore, head developer of PS3PriceCompare.co.uk, said: "I suppose gamers either just don't have the time or the motivation to go out and cheat, as most of them would prefer to spend their leisure time at home with their consoles rather than going out and about."

Men will be even less likely to play away from home later this month, as the latest Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2, is set to break sales records in the UK.ADNFCR-1951-ID-19447965-ADNFCR
