Owen Content On The Bench
England's pint sized striker has declared himself happy to sit on the bench. Following on from the first two group games where he has been substituted on both occasions after looking off the pace, Owen knows he may now need to give way to others.

"I'm not worried. If I'm sat on the bench, I'm sat on the bench. I've been on the bench in my career before." said Michael Owen.

Perhaps still affected by the injury and a lack of match sharpness his place is now under threat. The player himself thinks that his lack of goals may stem from the service from the rest of the team and the fact he has played two teams who have been determined to defend.

"It's very difficult when you play against smaller teams that try to defend against you.

"It's always the way and I'm sure when we play against top teams like Italy, France, Brazil and Spain we will play better."

So who will line up against Sweden? Sven only knows.
