Hull held off an Everton fight-back to win 3-2 in an enthralling game at the KC Stadium.

The Toffees made a disastrous start to the game and found themselves 3-0 down after half an hour with Stephen Hunt, Andy Dawson and Dean Marney scoring for Phil Brown's side.

They fought back in the second-half though with Kamil Zayatte's own goal and Louis Saha's penalty pulling them back to within a goal of Hull.

David Moyes' side could not find the equaliser though as their struggles in the Premier League continued.

The Everton manager welcomed back Steven Piennar from injury, however, Marouane Fellaini was suspended and replaced by Yakubu who partnered Louis Saha in attack.

Jimmy Bullard was missing from Hull's team after starring in their 3-3 draw with West Ham at the weekend and was replaced by Geovanni.

Everton had plenty of possession early on but it was Hull who took the lead with Hunt slotting the ball past Tim Howard after he could only parry Jozy Altidore's close range effort.

The goal put Hull in complete control and they doubled their lead after 20 minutes when Dawson curled in a magnificent free-kick into the top corner from 30 yards.

And things got worse for Moyes' side on the half hour as Tim Cahill deflected Marney's shot past Howard.

Everton were handed a lifeline after the restart when Zayatte swung a wild kick at Johnny Heitinga's cross which looped the ball over goalkeeper Matt Duke and into the net.

And Zayatte's second-half nightmare continued when he gave away a penalty by bringing down Saha, who slotted the ball past Duke from 12 yards.

Everton swarmed forwards in the final minutes but Hull's defence stood firm to secure victory.

In the other Premier League fixture of the night Fulham cruised to a convincing 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage.

Erik Nevland put Fulham ahead just before half-time before Clint Dempsey grabbed a second-half double.

Lars Jacobsen replaced the injured Gael Givet while Keith Andrews returned to Blackburn's starting line-up after missing their victory at Bolton at the weekend.

Roy Hodgson made three changes with John Pantsil, Damien Duff and Nevland replacing Stephen Kelly, Zoltan Gera and Simon Davies.

David Dunn orchestrated Blackburn's early dominance with Mark Schwarzer denying Franco Di Santo as he ran through on goal.

Duff went close for Fulham though, narrowly heading wide from Clint Dempsey's cross.

Jason Roberts came closest to opening the scoring for Blackburn before half-time as he curled a shot wide of the post, however, it was Fulham who took the lead with Duff finding Nevland who powered a shot past Paul Robinson.

Fulham began to boss the game in the second-half and doubled their lead through Clint Dempsey who beat Paul Robinson to Duff's deflected cross to pass the ball into the net.

Nevland should have added Fulham's third minutes later but shot wide with only Robinson to beat.

Blackburn flooded forward as they looked to get back into the game, but they were punished in the final minutes as Fulham broke quickly with substitute Simon Davies finding Dempsey in the box to score his second of the night from close range and wrap up a convincing win for Hodgson's side.ADNFCR-2083-ID-19480281-ADNFCR
