Killzone developer Guerrilla Games has today stated that they're far from finished with the PS3, despite only one instalment in the franchise arriving for PS2.

"PlayStation 3 has a very long life ahead still, and we're certainly not done developing for this platform. We still see enough opportunities to get better and (continue) pushing the platform even further," Guerrilla's senior producer, Steven ter Heide told The Gamer Access.

Potentially, this could mean that Killzone 3 will arrive on Sony's current platform rather than a PS3 successor, or indeed the firm could be considering new IP for future projects.

Furthermore, Heide went on to say that the developer will continue to support Killzone 2 with more DLC, such as the Napalm & Cordite expansion.

The third Killzone 2 expansion revealed earlier this week features two new maps called Suljeva Cliffside and Arctower Landing as well as the addition of the Flamethrower and Boltgun weapons for multiplayer.
